During this lock-down, we are spending most of our time watching movies, games, series, or let's say we are extensively using the internet for entertainment propose. But can we imagine the use of the internet as a source of knowledge of new things?? We are so busy entertaining ourselves that we are unaware of the fruitful opportunities available just in front of our eyes. One such opportunity came to me, which was the series of the webinar conducted by Pokhara University Students' Pharma Association (PUSPA), titled PUSPA Webinar Series 2020. I want to reflect upon my experience during this series shortly.
One day, I was just randomly scrolling my Facebook timeline, and I saw the post of PUSPA about the webinar series. The topics mentioned in the series were quite exciting, but I was unknown about the system of a webinar like how to attend, what should I do to participate in this webinar, what were the objectives, etc. Reading the same post, I knew that I had to fill a form to attend, and I just filled the form. The day before the first session of the same series, I received a mail that I was selected as a participant with detail about the steps to attend the webinar then I was a bit clear how the session will begin.
In this webinar series, I got a chance to interact with speakers from various professional backgrounds, along with other attendees. I think this webinar series was very well organized. I thoroughly enjoyed this event with multiple topics of interest and discussions on those topics. The sessions, delivered by various speakers had been very informative and insightful on their particular subjects.
This webinar has helped me gain a lot of knowledge on several contemporary topics like COVID-19 and its relation to Immunology and learn more about self-medication and its consequences, crude drugs, and various home remedies, handling of over-the-counter medications (OTCs), nutritious and underutilized plants, etc. During the webinar, I had concerns about some of the topics which were beautifully addressed by speakers later in the program during the discussion session. Apart from all the discussion sessions, the sessions themselves were great. I learned a lot of valuable information from the speakers. Some of the speakers also shared their experiences, which I found quite inspiring and motivating. Overall, I had an enjoyable event experience that I will still remember a year later or so. And yes, I am eager to join this type of future events from PUSPA.
In conclusion, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to PUSPA, who have made this webinar series possible and those who have shared their experiences during the webinar. I got benefited very well from this fantastic event.
Yours Sincerely,
